Learn and Grow with Congress Workshops
 

  • Understanding the Latihan and True Culture, Mhd. Isman Kanafsky.  An exploration being conscious of the latihan in our everyday lives
  • Word Play - Stories from our Lives, Roxanne Reicheg.  A writing and improvisation exercise developed and taught by Roxanne.  (sign up in advance to get a place, 10 players max)
  • Getting older, Hanafi Fraval. We're all getting older. What are we going to do about it?
  • Sufi Circle, Laurienne Singer. An experiential movement workshop
  • Exit Plan, Johanna Schor. What might we do with the revenue generated by Subud Houses when we no longer need them?
  • Creative Activities, Emmanuel Williams. Delight and inspire your creative aspirations

Saturday Night Live

Do you have a song, a poem, or an story to share? Bring your talents along and be part of an evening of entertainment at Congress.

The Saturday evening open mic session will be hosted by Emmanuel Williams and all are invited. It will happen 9:00-11:00 following the Saturday evening latihan. Come to be part of the performance or just enjoy!

Bringing the Kids?

Childcare will be available for young children during the morning and evening latihan. A day trip to Balboa Park will be available for older kids on Saturday and/or Sunday. 
 

Support Good Causes 

Build up the 2015 Congress scholarship fund by participating in the Chinese Auction on Saturday night. Art work and more!

Support Susila Dharma USA by donating lightly used clothing at the gift shop. Attendees can select desired items at no charge, but a donation to the Portland & Sacramento Friends of SDUSA Matching Fund is appreciated.  

Help repay the loan from the Region for making the Subud Santa Cruz House safe and beautiful. Bring jewelry, handmade items, unused gifts, antiques, Subud-related items, etc to Congress for a silent auction. Please give your donations to Ralph or Luzita Davila.
Online registration for Congress will close on Sunday May 17th. Register online now here to avoid delays at the registration desk. 

If you live locally and are planning to come just for one day, please let Harlan Gleeson know in advance to ensure that sufficient meals are planned and available.
