Welcome back to the ALTER-Net Summer School e-newsletter.
This is the second broad e-Newsletter from ALTER-Net familiarizing you with our highly regarded Summer School, and reminding you of the invitation to apply for our 10th school, which will be held from September 2nd to 12th, 2015, in Peyresq, Alpes de Haute-Provence, France.
 
Application is open to young graduate and post-graduate scientists from both within and outside the ALTER-Net network partners, as well as young professionals in related fields.
 
We have extended the deadline to apply to this year’s Summer School to May 27th.
 
The aim of the Summer School is to create an environment for studying the challenges relating to biodiversity and natural resources in an inter- and trans-disciplinary way. More information on the goal and history of the summer school were given in our first e-newsletter. You can also find further information on the Summer School website, including the latest programme, biographies of the speakers and testimonials from previous students.
 
Read on to learn more about the Summer School, including news of our first video, which provides a glimpse of the Peyresq experience.
 

Application deadline extended

The deadline to apply to the Summer School has been extended to May 27th

ALTER-Net is holding its 2nd international conference on May 18-20th in Ghent, Belgium. To avoid any confusion with the registration to this conference, we decided to postpone the application deadline to the Summer School to May 27th.
 
Application to the Summer School is now open until May 27th. Please see the ALTER-Net website (www.alter-net.info/summer-school) for further information, e.g. the eligibility criteria, the important dates and further testimonials from previous students.
