A generous thank you to everyone who has helped provide much needed support to the people of Nepal.
HOPE IN TIMES OF TRAGEDY
"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic
so powerful as expectation of something
tomorrow
."
~ Orison Swett Marden
In times of great struggle is when we discover how strong we truly are. Since April 25th, the day of the 7.9 magnitude earthquake in Nepal, we have learned that, as a community, we are mighty.

Despite the destruction and despair that surround them, our amazing scholars are assisting in relief efforts; despite thousands of miles, two of our own amazing team, Shraddha Rimal and Prem Shrestha, have delivered and are distributing supplies on the ground in Nepal; despite individual needs, our generous global community has given over $31,000 to our Nepal Relief Fund and many in-kind donations of much-needed emergency supplies; and despite personal despair, our friends have flooded us with uplifting messages of hope and consolation as we work toward the rebuilding of Nepal.

One of our dear friends and an avid supporter of Bo M. Karlsson Foundation, Barbara Trenary, had this to share as we all process the devastation in Nepal:

My hope for you is to replace a tiny bit of the pain and sadness each day with resolve and hope for better lives for those remaining.  The earth has adjusted and now we all must adjust too. You are about to spawn 11 amazing graduates to be part of those better lives.  That is huge.  We all face speed bumps in the road.  This is not just a speed bump, this is a loss of an entire highway.  I am hoping that the graduates will not have experienced more personal trauma than they can handle.  Until that highway is rebuilt, it will be a long road. I wish there was an easier answer.
We are so fortunate to have such a generous global community passionate about Nepal and the mission of BMKF. Out of all of the immeasurable devastation after the earthquake, our hearts are full from finding all of our scholars safe. However, while we are overjoyed by their safety, their struggles continue, like so many others in their country. Thank you for your continued support as we work to get both our scholars and their communities back on their feet. To continue helping these amazing people visit www.bomkarlsson.com.
