There’s a place at the table for you!
The new Student Dining Hall opened its doors in early March, and we could not be happier for our nursing students who endured some difficult conditions in the past couple of years. Three times a day, summer, winter, and monsoon season, their meals were eaten sitting on a concrete curb, on a bed, or on the ground. Now we can say these words to them: “There’s a place at the table for you!” Located above the old Springer Diamond Ward, the Dining Hall has the capacity to seat over 100 nursing students.

Since we currently have 77 students enrolled with another 20 on the way in the fall, this facility could not have come at a better time. Mrs. Nancy Lott Henry graciously donated a television, so for the first time since arriving on campus, the students will have access to local, state and international news and other programming. Most importantly, they have a place to gather and break bread together, sharing a table, and the blessing that comes from fellowship over a common meal.
