Hi everyone

1) Cargill Update, provided by Chris Bydder, Team Leader - Compliance Strategy & Support Metro

During May the back pressure at the biofilter in the preparation plant at Cargill had increased significantly. Cargill made the decision to replace the biofilter media in the biofilter in response to this.
Cargill plans to commence the works to replace the biofilter media on Tuesday 9th June and expects the works to take about 2 weeks. The media in both cells will be changed one at a time to allow for operations to continue during this time.
2) Next BCRG Meeting

The next BCRG Community Forum will be held Wednesday, July 22nd, 2015 at the Brooklyn Community Hall, Cypress Ave, Brooklyn, 6 - 6.30pm.

3) National Tree Day July 26 - save the date

Friends of Lower Kororoit Creek is pleased to announce that this year, in partnership with their major sponsors Toyota, it is planning its biggest and most important celebration since its inception in 2000. This event will take place along the Kororoit Creek and will coincide with National Tree Day 2015 on 26 July 2015 when future plans for the Kororoit Creek environmental corridor within Hobsons Bay are to be announced - hopefully by the Premier of Victoria.
