Think Humanity Girls' Hostel Leadership Summit
Think Humanity had the 2nd Annual Leadership Summit on April 11. This year the girls were given the theme, "Time to Fly." The guest speaker was Madame Hajat, the Head Teacher from Bwiyka Secondary School in Hoima. One of her quotes was, "You have to know where you came from in order to know where you are going." We had a great day and are looking forward to the 3rd Annual Leadership Summit in 2016. Thank you Rich Kaufmann through the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund for sponsoring this event.
Women's Health Day, Birthing Kits and Baby Clothes
We held a Women's Health Day on April 11. We saw 130 patients and 120 of them received medication until our medication ran out. 78 women received ultrasounds. We had two clinic officers, two nurses, one lab technician and a radiographer. The event was held from mid-day till 8 p.m. We had to stop due to no lighting. The event was held at Kinyakeitaka Primary School in Kyangwali Refugee Camp. We hope to hold a follow-up as funding allows. These services were all given freely by Think Humanity.
Birthing Kit Foundation Australia chose Think Humanity as the beneficiary for their 1,000th kit assembly day. We were honored to receive an extra 200 birthing kits to give out to pregnant women in April 2015. Along with the birthing kits we gave out baby clothing donated by Mari Vasel with
All Things Bean.
Individually Sponsored Students
Think Humanity sponsors several children in addition to our girl education program. One of the activities that we love to do is to visit all the children at the schools. You may remember the child named Peace from another newsletter. She is the refugee child from the Congo who lost her mother to AIDS and ended up in Kyangwali Refugee Camp due to instability and war in her region of the Congo. Due to unfortunate circumstances, she also contracted HIV/AIDS. When our director first saw her arrive in the camp, she was very thin and weak. With the help from our sponsors, she is now strong and tested negative to TB as well. She is 13 years old but only in Primary 3. What a joy to see this child! We visited her at school and at her home. This photo is Peace waving goodbye to us. We had a group with five motorcycles. You can imagine the excitement when villagers saw us all pass by.
Vumilia Peace
We recently took in another child who was abandoned in Hoima town. Thanks to one of our sponsors, the young child is now under our care. Rhina is three years old and attending baby class at Sunrise Child Development Centre Nursery School.

Too many stories to share....
We wish we could share all our experiences and even more activities that have been accomplished while we were there and since our return, for example the help that was provided to Pelagia's Babies Home, an orphanage in Kibaale District. Hopefully we will have the chance to send another update soon.
Thank you so much for all you have done to help educate and save lives of many children. Thank you for providing bed nets to prevent malaria, thank you for donating for clean water wells because as we say, Water is Life! Think Humanity could not exist without your love.
