Berry-picking time has arrived!
During last Saturday's work day, we harvested and ate the first two ripe strawberries of the year. And by the number of green (unripened) strawberries still dangling on the plants, there should be plenty more where that came from.
The blackberries plants are in a similar situation -- there are an abundance of unripened green berries waiting for Mother Nature's signal to change color, and delight our taste buds.
Last week, tomato, pepper, and collard green plants were transplanted into the garden. There are a few more spots available for more transplants, so we'll continue transplanting this week as well.
If you are interested in purchasing a SW Gardens t-shirt, please fill out this form by May 30th with the size(s) and quantity(ies) of t-shirts that you would like.
If there's enough interest, we will place an order in early June, and they should arrive by mid-June. Costs will range from $10-15 depending on interest level. The price will be confirmed once we know how many people would like a t-shirt.
That's it for now,
see you in the garden!
Putting into your mouth what the Earth has grown is perhaps your most direct connection to [it].
