The Weekly Catch
The good stuff continues to fly off the shelf! The two original 4/0 Hardy Cascapedia reels were snapped up within 24 hours of listing. Two Paul Hermann reels sold last week. The possibly unique special order Vom Hofe Tobique enticed a buyer to make an offer and now is committed to. Many of the rods on our coming soon list are selling even before we list them. Remember, if you see something that interests you on our Latest Updates page marked "coming soon", pick up the phone or send us an email to secure your place in line prior to us publicly listing the item for sale.
This week's featured offering here at Vintage Fly Tackle is an exceedingly scarce "The Davy Reel" by Hardy Bros. Very few of these reels remain out of the only 187 originally made in the 1930s. Click on the photo below for more details and history. You can find many other fine reels for sale here, including more very rare Hardy models.
Our bamboo rod inventory continues to strengthen in quality and number of fine rods available. We also have a healthy collection of fine fiberglass rods available for sale. Many of these rods sell quickly, so don't hesitate if you see something you like. And please don't hesitate to contact us with any offer you wish to make.
Our commission rate for consignments continues to be the lowest in the industry, and our selling results the highest. For very large collections sent at one time, we are willing to negotiate even lower rates. Please contact us if you are in selling mode. The market for fine fishing tackle continues to be very healthy, so if you would like to take advantage of this, start boxing up your excess rods, reels and other classic fishing tackle and send them our way. We continue to consistently deliver top-notch results to our consignors and have numerous references available.
