Adult and Multigenerational Faith Development Events

God Talk:  Sharing Our Deity Stories
God Talk participants, please note new extended schedule.  Program will meet at usual time, 7:00-8:30pm on Wednesday evenings; now running through May 27.

Please note:  This offering is now full, but may be re-offered if there is sufficient interest.
This four-session, moderated discussion group will create a space in which to share our ideas of deity, learning from and supporting each other in our quest for understanding.  Sign up for the next session (start date TBD) in the foyer or by emailing Morris Kaplowitz at mokap@mindspring.com

Circle of Light
The Circle of Light Program is a journey of self-discovery. Our program is committed to facilitating the ongoing expansion of human consciousness through spiritual growth, healing and connection to our higher selves. Our intention is to release all that no longer serves us in a group experience through meditation, drumming, singing, discussion, guided imagery and through individual energy healing sessions.  Participants will enjoy presentations from various spiritual speakers and healers. We honor the seasons, nature, light and the universe.  Meets every second Saturday in the Sanctuary from 12:30-3:30.  For more information, contact Diane Black.

Conversations in Science in Religion
The next discussion for Conversations in Science in Religion led by Bob Anthony will be held on Wednesday, June 10, and will continue the discussion about the evolution of morality.  All are invited to attend this fascinating, discussion-style exploration of how science and faith interact and shape our beliefs.

Circles of Trust
Please note that this program will be re-offered in the fall.
Led by Rev. Barbara and based on Parker Palmer’s work, this guided learning group explores courage, asserting that “a hidden wholeness” underlies our lives.  Sign up for future offerings in the east foyer.

The Generosity Path
Please note:  This program will be re-offered in the fall.
Learn how a person’s generosity can be nurtured and grown over one’s lifetime, discover the importance of mindful receiving of generosity, and discuss how generosity may be applied very broadly to encompass how we treat each other every day, everywhere.  “The Generosity Path” is not a call for money, but an exploration of the spiritual and ethical components of how we share our time, honesty, selves, and yes, resources, with others in our local and global communities.  Sign up on interest sheet in the East Foyer or by contacting Mary Ellen Mogee at mogeelubitz@gmail.com

Art Committee News:
Meet the Artists

Reception May 24 12-2pm

Tension and Flow
Jennifer Duncan and Cindy Grisdela

Jennifer Duncan, a mixed media painter, and Cindy Grisdela, a contemporary fiber artist are exhibiting their work in the Sanctuary, April 27- May 26, 2015.  The show, “Tension and Flow”, pairs paintings with contemporary art quilts in a colorful collaboration.  As shared studio mates at the Artists’ Atelier group studio in Great Falls, Jennifer Duncan, a painter, and Cindy Grisdela, a fiber artist, have had many opportunities to enjoy one another’s work.  Although creating in different media, they have often marveled at the remarkable similarities in their use of color and design.  They are excited to have this opportunity to exhibit work together to demonstrate how color can transcend media to evoke a sense of playful cohesion.  Please join them for a “meet the artists” reception, Sunday May 24 from 12:00 to 2:00, in the Sanctuary.

For more information about their work, please go to:
 www.jenniferduncanart.com and www.cindygrisdela.com

What to donate: furniture, electronics, kitchen items, clothing, shoes, toys, books, knick-knacks, sports equipment, tools, and the like. We will accept virtually anything in good working order that someone would want to buy.
Donations received at the church from 5:30-9 PM May 26-29th.

Want to help?

Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, May 29  We need help sorting, carrying, pricing, advertising; with setup.   Do you have a place for temporary storage of items? Can you drive your vehicle to pick up and drop off donations?

Saturday, May 30   We also need many volunteers to work the day of the sale.  Do you like serving the public?  Helping people find a treasure?  Can you help with setup, cleanup, in the kitchen, or any odd job?  We need you!  Remember, we have to leave the sanctuary ready for worship on Sunday morning.
