GynZone at the Porto congress from 22nd - 23rd of May
It's almost time for the ECIC 2015: 2. European Congress on Intrapartum Care - Making Birth Safer. Peggy Seehafer will be at the congress to display a poster about the rethinking of birth phases and protection of the perineum (read it here) and Sara Kindberg will be presenting the impressive results from the post natal clinic at AUH, specifically regarding secondary repair.

GynZone have published a whole new series of beautifully pencilled illustrations on perineal protection during vaginal birth by midwife Karen Mondrup. The illustrations are also available digitally and have many uses including patient information, guidelines etc.

The Danish Society for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DSOG) recommends perineal support - also in the case of instrumental delivery. The new 2015 guideline is now online and can be read here (in Danish).
