PROCEEDINGS: On 8 April 2015 the Executive Committee and then the Board of Administration of the Education and Solidarity Network met in Brussels, at the premises of the International Association of Mutual Benefit Societies. The proceedings allowed for the essential points to be addressed in preparation for the General Assembly in Ottawa. This year, 2015, is decisive for the Education and Solidarity Network as it will allow for both an assessment of the last 4 years to be carried out and the direction for the next 4 years to be outlined.

MOROCCO: As part of the tripartite agreement signed in 2011 between the Education and Solidarity Network, MGEN (Mutuelle Générale de l’Education Nationale, France - mutual benefit society for national education) and MGPAP (Mutuelle Générale du Personnel des Administrations Publiques, Morocco - mutual benefit society for public administration employees), a mission was organised in Rabat in order to set out the support measures for MGPAP by MGEN France.
ESSENTIEL: ESSENTIEL, Oxfam France and the Doctors of the World branch in Nantes organised a conference and debate on access to healthcare throughout the world on Thursday 16 April 2015. This conference brought together around forty people and enabled two dynamics at work to be compared in terms of global healthcare: while southern hemisphere countries address the issue regarding the right and access to healthcare and various systems to achieve this, in France the issue more concerns healthcare renunciation and reviewing the existing social protection system.
GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR EDUCATION :

"Healthier students are better learners: why health and education sectors need to work together?"

"Schools are powerful social institutions that can improve every child’s health and wellbeing and enhance the learning and life chances of each generation through school health programs. (...) Every child deserves to thrive and every child deserves a quality education. Through our support to education and health ministries to collaborate around school based health programming we can realize the essential foundation of children’s good health and readiness to learn."
