Dear Friends and Supporters of Urban Hope,

We have so many exciting things to share with you in this newsletter-- please read all the way to the end! We finished 2014 strong in many ways and can’t thank you all enough for helping to make that happen. We couldn't do any of the things to which God has called Urban Hope without your gifts of time and financial resources, as well as your continued prayer support. We're extremely grateful for each of you!

Included in this newsletter are:
  • Our first ever Urban Hope video
  • Amazing "before and after" photos of our most recent renovation
  • Introduction to our new Urban Neighbors
  • Introduction to our newest part-time staff members

As we find ourselves in this season of growth and the opportunity to expand our ability to provide affordable housing in north Church Hill, we hope you'll continue to be part of this amazing ministry.  We're pretty excited about the doors the Lord is opening for us!

Check out our new video! It literally only takes a minute!
Below are some BEFORE pictures of our most recent house on 35th St. What a transformation! We partnered with CHAT's Nehemiah's Workshop and had two of their students learn to replace windows. They did a great job!
Now the AFTER pictures! Can you believe it? I promise it's the same house. Along with skilled contractors, volunteers from the Tucker High school Basketball team and Grace Community Presbyterian Church, we replaced the roof, refinished the floors, redid the entire kitchen, updated the existing bath with a new tile floor and refreshed the existing tile, put in new central heating and air conditioning, and re-painted the whole interior. The best part of this project is seeing our new Urban Neighbor tenants move in (see more on the Koontzes below)!
Meet Cameron and Virginia Koontz, our newest Urban Neighbors and residents of our latest renovation on 35th St.
These Urban Neighbors have agreed to live out their faith Christ in tangible ways to their neighbors.

Join us in welcoming our amazing new part-time staff members-- we are truly blessed by the Lord to have two such gifted women working with us!

Carolyn Loftin: URBAN HOPE COMMUNITY COORDINATOR

We are also excited to welcome Carolyn to our team! She and her 5 children have called Church Hill home for 5 years now.

Carolyn has a
VIVACIOUS personality and is eager to start networking for Urban Hope as we seek to begin relationships with new affordable housing clients. Hopefully, you will see her around the neighborhood and at community events. We couldn't be more grateful that she has decided to join the Urban Hope team!
