Waitsfield Elementary School Rocks!

May 21, 2015
Chorus students practicing for this evening's concert.

Dear families and friends,
I hope you all will join us this evening, Thursday, May 21, 6 p.m. for our Spring Concert. Students in grades K-6 will be performing, including our chorus and band.  As in the past, the concert will be approximately 30 minutes long. With our limited parking, it is a good idea to arrive a few minutes early (thank you to the Garden Center and General Wait House for sharing parking). Staff will join students on their assigned seats on the mats. Thank you for helping us to support a positive, safe experience for all by keeping your children under your supervision until they join their classmates.
We are fortunate to live in such an arts rich environment. Students work on an array of skills through our music program. The concert provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate these skills in front of an audience of people important to them. Thank you for arranging your family's schedule to allow you and your children to be here to celebrate their accomplishments and growth.

This year’s third annual Bridge Street Art Fair was a great success thanks to all of you who came to celebrate our artistic community, the vibrant Bridge Street marketplace and our youth. From the Bridge Street businesses who graciously shared their space;  to the many volunteers who set up and/or cleaned up, offered activities, and played a great line-up of music; to the bicyclists and other-wheeled adventurers who paraded down the street, this event was made possible through many participants.  Please help us in continuing to celebrate the Bridge Street area ALL summer long by continuing to bring them your business during bridge construction!

           Respectfully,     Kaiya Korb, Principal

                                   VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Summer Library Books/ ALL Library Books DUE
With the school year coming to a close we need to start getting all those great library books back on the shelves. The last day of borrowing books will be next Friday, May 29th.
But don't worry...we will once again allow students to borrow a small stack of books for the summer (more information will be coming), but before that can happen all books need to be returned. Please help your child hunt down those stray books that might have managed to crawl under a bed or hide behind the couch. As always please let Eric know if you have any questions or concerns.
