CHULA LEAGUE FREE COMMUNITY EVENTS THIS SUMMER
We invite you to join us at Haymaker for their second annual Fourth of July Pickled Egg Eating Contest. All entry fees and a portion of sales that day go to support Chula League’s Little Artist BIG ARTIST (LaBA) program. The competition starts at 4:30pm. For the $20 entry fee, each contestant gets a commemorative Fourth of July t-shirt and drink of choice, and the winner will receive a $250 prize. See you there!

Join the Chula League at Elizabet Ney Museum’s Third Annual Ney Day. Meet at our booth July 28th to make upcycled paper craft projects inspired by the Little Artist BIG ARTIST program. We’ll also have LaBA T-shirts for sale featuring our wonderful new logo. Be sure to visit Ney’s studio, the oldest art building in town. Enjoy the Yes Ma’am Bass Band, Elizabeth McQueen, Tiarra Girls, sculpting demos, food trucks, clay crafting, bookmaking, and more! And don’t forget Shipe Park pool is across the street!

2015 LITTLE + BIG ARTISTS
unveil spring projects
5th and 6th grade artists from East Austin debuted their spring projects April 23 at ReNEW East @ Imagine Art. Family, friends, art teachers, and BIG ARTISTS cheered on the Little Artists at the opening reception to celebrate a productive semester and view their artwork in a real gallery just like professional artists.

Founded in 2005, Chula League is an East Austin 501(c)3 non-profit, organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and aesthetic purposes. Chula League works to ensure that the arts and public outdoor spaces play a valued role in the educational, economic and cultural well being of neighborhoods in East Austin. Chula has endowed over $71,000 in grants, services and programming to East Austin schools from Art Fair and LaBA auction proceeds.
