Welcoming The Stranger

This Sunday we'll pass the peace, pray & worship Christ together,
& experience a very special dance performance.

Then Pastor Kate will open up the scriptures that inspire & encourage us all to let down our guards  & open up our lives to cultivate a lifestyle of intentional hospitality towards strangers. The rewards of doing so are often the re-discovery of new life, much laughter, & a deeper discovery of God himself.

See everyone at The Grove, 10am on Sunday.

Join us after worship this Sunday for a
CHURCH POTLUCK & YOUTH AUCTION

Please bring a dish to share with the church family and come ready to bid on one of our wonderful teenagers.  You'll get a few hours of yard-work or babysitting, and the teens will get some of the money they need to attend the Montreat Youth Conference.

Thank you to all those who participated in writing encouraging letters & filling the Welcome Bags headed to a local safe-house to welcome the rescued victims of human trafficking into their new journey toward restoration & wholeness. Your gifts will help these women start their new lives with all the needed basic practical necessities. Thank you, from ESC, & from the entire local anti-human trafficking community.

What's Next?

It's time for us to ask what God how He wants to use our church.  What's the next big mission that God wants us to risk everything for?  Will he call us deeper into ministry with fragile families? Immigrants? At-risk youth? Those seeking affordable housing? Human trafficking?

Only one thing is certain - Our church belongs to God
and He can use it however He wants to.

Pastor Kate & the Session are in the process of assembling a small team of people who will begin the process of praying, listening & discerning God's desire for our new mission focus.   Please pray that God will reveal the right folks for this team, and please pray that God will speak clearly to them and through them to all of us.

You're Invited To A Wedding

On behalf of the Grove, join your faith together with ours in believing
for & asking God for the favor & fiscal resources needed for this project.

We'll begin this campaign rooted in prayer.
Information about other next steps are coming soon.
