NDLINK MONTHLY UPDATE

Connect. Collaborate. Coordinate.

Dear NDLinkers,

Our needs and impact assessment survey for NDLink is finally here! We've been talking about it all year and we are now ready for the roll-out. Complete the survey for a chance to win free airtime or a Smile/Visphone mobile wifi router (with data plan included). The survey will run from June 1 - 30, 2015. The survey is open to all NDLink registered members so if you are not yet a registered member, now is a great time to sign-up to enjoy the full benefits of all NDLink has to offer.

Until next month,
NDLink Team

The next NDDF event will take place on June 23rd, 2015 in London. PIND and NDPI have partnered with Wilton Park to host the event with a theme of "Through industrial diversification, sustainable socioeconomic improvements can be delivered to the region."  Unlike past NDDFs, this event is an invitation-only, high level round-table Forum that will aim to build upon the work of NDPI, PIND, and their partners in discussing and collaborating together on ideas and initiatives to promote investments and equitable economic growth in the Niger Delta.

The objectives of the Forum are to:
  • Evaluate the opportunities and challenges of doing business or investing in the Niger Delta
  • Identify tangible steps for instituting new types of collaboration and partnerships for the region's social, economic, and human development
  • Outline the means by which partners could establish a more resilient and diversified economy beyond the region's oil and gas sector
  • Develop realistic and implementable plans to create a truly enabling environment for regional growth and equitable prosperity for all
Session topics for discussion are:
  • Unlocking the economic and human development potential of the Niger Delta region: data and diversification
  • Business and investment risks to developing the Niger Delta
  • Case studies: delivering resilience through diversification
  • New capital streams to generate growth and employment
We expect to have speakers and participants from organizations like DFID, DAI, Thai Farms International, African Development Bank, First Bank of Nigeria, SPDC, Africa Finance Corporation, Olam, select members of the Nigerian government, National Assembly, and many more.
