Conference update
Planning for Ontario Contact 2015 in London is well underway. The theme for this year's conference is Transforming Community. Now is the time to start thinking of those individuals; artists, presenters, and agents/managers whom have contributed significantly to Ontario’s Touring and Presenting Field. To nominate someone you know is deserving of recognition, please click here.
Conference registration will open early summer. Hotel reservations may be made now. A pre-conference day to explore London's East End arts renaissance will be held on Wednesday November 4th. Be sure to mark this day in your calendar as well.

RFP - Webinar Series
Ontario Presents and APA will once again partner to host a "Webinar Series for Arts Presenters" starting in the fall of 2015. This time we will be offering two streams of sessions, an introductory level stream and a stream for those looking for a more advanced discussion on the topic. We are currently looking for facilitators on topics including Marketing & Communications; Financial Management; Leadership and Governance; Facility Management; Programming; Community Engagement and Festivals. Please share this Request for Proposals with colleagues as well as other arts professionals whom you feel will be great fit as facilitators. Read more

Congratulations to Award Recipients!
On behalf of the entire network, Ontario Presents congratulates our long time members, Debbie Slade and Cameron Smillie, on their latest achievements! Deb was presented the Making a Difference Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award. Cameron won the BC Touring Council 2015 Award for Agent / Manager of the Year. Well deserved!
Annual Spring Retreat
Thanks to all the members who came to Brockville for Ontario Presents' 2015 Spring Retreat! Over thirty arts professionals from across Ontario joined their colleagues to learn and grow together. New Funding Model
The Canada Council for the Arts has announced new funding model to reduce the number of programs from 147 to 6 national non-disciplinary programs. B ased on consultations with artists and arts organizations across the country, the new model with fewer more meaningful programs and simpler application process, will address emerging trends and issues facing the arts sector.
