So Summer is coming fast and furious and are you where you want to be? The last few months in class I have been covering aspects of the Macro nutrients that we eat and what effect they have on us if they are out of balance. The more I have been delving into this aspect of nutrition the more fascinated I have become!!! Exciting times ahead.
Most of you will know that I passed the final exam on nutrition for my exercise referral qualification and was really please to find that I had only dropped two marks (a real boost as I had thought I might need to re sit!) So just finalising the last bits of paperwork and submissions and the qualification is done and dusted.
Summer Challenge
This week I will be launching the summer challenge and want to focus on something different. In the past we have always had a weight loss or maintaining challenge but this year I want to try a different approach. This year I want to try a new Habit challenge! one for food and one for exercise. More will be revealed in classes this week and I have 20 goody bags to give away in a draw for those that decide to take part.

Come and learn to Nordic Walk !
The next Nordic Walking taster is on Thursday 4th June and will give you a short taster of what its all about or come to The National Trust Outdoor Activity Day on Sunday 21st July with some regular Nordic Walkers!.
The 4 Week Learn To will start Saturday 6th June or Thursday 25th June. This course will help you to not only learn Nordic walking technique but will help you to use it in order to achieve your personal health and fitness goals.
Each session adds another ‘gear’ and helps you to understand how to gain propulsion, gradually increase the workload and learn how to Nordic walk for fitness, weight loss or fun! Four one hour sessions in a relaxed group suitable for all levels. £45 for the 4 sessions

There are 4 regular walks to choose from once you have completed a course. Numbers on the walks are growing and I can guarantee you will meet a great bunch of walkers to enjoy the company of, whilst walking through this fantastic area we live in.
As from next week the Weds class will be at a new time at 1130am-12.30pm. Fitness Pilates will help to
- Increase core strength
- Improve overall body strength
- Enhance posture, mobility, flexibility and stability
- Correct everyday moves
- Tone your body
