Tip: Time to prepare for room selection

Hello Beaver Nation!

 


As you prepare for your transition to Oregon State we would like to remind you of some important steps to choose your housing and meal plan. Please see the information that matches your current application status. For more information please visit the
University Housing & Dining Services website.

 

If you applied for housing by May 1st:

  • Make sure you have paid your ATD. Click here for more information. If you are unable to pay the ATD due to financial circumstances and intend on enrolling at OSU, please contact Admissions at 800-291-4192 or email to explore options.

  • Sign your housing contract by signing in to MyUHDS. Click here for more information. You will find a “Fall 2015 Housing Application” link on the right side of the page. For more information about your room and dining contract see the contract information page.

  • Your next step is to register for START. Click here to register for START. START is OSU’s new student orientation program. You will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes during this program.

  • Once you have registered for START, you will be eligible for Priority Room Selection from June 1-30. You will see your specific eligibility date on your housing application. Check out this video for a step-by-step guide on selecting your room.

  • If you would like a triple room and are not successful in getting one, please contact the Human Services Resource Center online or at (541) 737-3747

 

If you have not applied for housing or applied after May 1st:

  • Apply for housing and sign your housing contact by signing in to MyUHDS. Click here to sign into MyUHDS. You will find a “Fall 2015 Housing Application” link on the right side of the page.

  • You will be assigned a room using your preferences listed on your housing application on a rolling basis starting in July based on the date your contract was signed.

  • If you would like a triple room and are not successful in getting one, please contact the Human Services Resource Center online or at (541) 737-3747

 

Reminder: Maximize the value of your housing and meal plan

Economy Triples

  • Three students share a room

  • Rate is about $5,500 per academic year (three terms)

  • 300 triples are available across various residence halls on campus

  • Residents express a high level of satisfaction and affordability with this option 

Meal Plan Four 

  • All meal plans include 25% off every dining center meal purchase, every time you use it

  • This plan ensures the highest value with the lowest financial commitment

  • About $12.50/day worth of meal value and your dollars rollover throughout the term

  • Meal plans roll over term to term through spring term, but must be used by the end of the academic year or are forfeited

Make Cents Meals

Makes Cents Meals are nutritionally balanced, satisfying meals at $3 plate. They are available in each dining center during lunch and dinner. Some examples of meals include a chicken taco plate, tofu teriyaki bowl, Korean beef and rice bowl, and pizza with side salad. Look for these meals at any of our dining centers.

Human Services Resource Center
The Human Services Resource Center, located in Snell Hall, room 233. The HSRC manages the OSU Food Pantry, provides problem-solving and assistance for students in need, help with SNAP (Food Stamp) applications, health insurance subsidies (for on-campus Aetna Insurance only), volunteer opportunities, campus jobs and more!

The HSRC serves students experiencing:
  • Poverty
  • Hunger
  • Homelessness
  • Food Insecurity
  • Financial Crisis
