Dear Parents, Alumni and Friends of Hillel,
What an amazing year of Hillel without walls!  We may not have had our building this year, but students didn’t let that get in the way.  From our weekly Shabbat dinners at the University Center, to Passover in the Student Activities Center to an Israel Independence day celebration for 300 in the middle of the campus, students found Hillel

Thank you for your support!  With your help, students hosted international speaker, Ari Shavit, grew professionally through Umentor and learned Israel advocacy at AIPAC. In addition, our Hola Hillel group highlighted human rights abuses around the world to the whole campus community

Students also came to together just to relax, enjoy and meet new Jewish friends.   Whether watching a movie, making s’mores, cooking latkes or socializing with young alumni, you helped create opportunities for Jewish life to thrive at the U!

Jewish life at UM Hillel is possible because of you.

Stay tuned for updates about the new Braman Miller Center for Jewish Student life - UM Hillel's new home that will open in mid-fall.

¡HOLA! HILLEL HELPS ADVOCATE FOR
HUMAN RIGHTS

¡Hola! Hillel co-hosted an event for over 70 students, where representatives from Venezuela, Columbia, Cuba and Israel discussed human rights abuses and discrimination.  According to Hola Hillel member Harry Levine, the goal of the event, ‘A World Without Discrimination,’ was to “inform the students about what is going on in other countries, in order to invite them to think critically and stand against discrimination.”  To see more from the amazing event, click below!
2015 Senior Sendoff

What a bittersweet moment, saying goodbye to our seniors. We will miss them and their individual contributions to Hillel and Jewish life at the U!  We wish them all the best of luck in their future endeavors and hope to see them at our young alumni events!!

These are just a few of their favorite memories...
