It's all made somewhere - it's best to know where though. Chuck lays out another page turner for cult fans whilst jars, holders and home decor in general begins the 3D printing process. Still - we'd really love to see someone try and 3D print BBQ pork.

Recently my place of residence had a delivery of an industrial sewing machine – a great big beast that represents the V8 supercar of all needle bearing mechanics. Once in the studio our kind delivery driver showed us the ropes of its capability, mentioning “you'll probably only leave it on these settings, but this is what it can do…”, he went on to show us how to sew 300 labels onto garments real quick. Offhandedly I asked “so, who uses these settings then, sweatshops?” to be hit back with the reality-dimmed reply “yeah”. The depressing reality of low-end to high-end garment manufacturing is something we should all be aware of and luckily Perth not-for-profit MADEgram are putting in the hard woven yarns to bring the reality of the global situation to the masses.

Black Cab's 'Victorious' – from last year's ambitious triumph of a concept album Games of the XXI Olympiad – lived up to its namesake as a kind of electro-drone 'Eye of the Tiger'. Now Total Control's Mikey Young has reworked 'Victorious' with enough boogie to make it fit for the post-victory after party. To celebrate their upcoming tour and the release of their remix 12" (which will also feature a remix from Scott Fraser and Timothy J Fairplay from Crimes of the Future), Black Cab's drummer Wes Holland made us a rather excellent mixtape.

As someone who was a vegetarian up until quite recently, the idea of a meal or event centred on a hunk of meat has always been pretty repulsive. But then my pal Conor hosted a pulled pork party and I was instantly converted. Not only is it a more appreciative way of eating meat, but it is also economical and downright tasty. This is how you do it.

Chuck Palahniuk's short stories are over-the-top fables, trafficking gleefully in sex, body horror, shock comedy and social commentary while his characters grapple helplessly with an ugly world. In this collection of more than 20 tales, Palahniuk generally lives up to his publisher’s claim that he is “literature's most transgressive author,” but there’s a lot of discipline behind his brashness. He writes succinctly and smartly, even when staging yet another comic grotesquery.

If you could 3D print anything in the world, what would it be? A fat man with a removable hat to hold trinkets in? Yes! But too bad. Mimaw beat you to it.

RTRFM 92.1 are bringing us another banging event. This one's for those that like to boogie, that like to get down in the wee hours of Saturday morning. It's called Phase and Perth's best radio station has spun a lineup of perfect proportion.
You'll catch live acts like Gravy Murphy and Phil Stroud whilst hails to the DJ will be a'plenty with selectors James A and Declan going head-to-head as will Craig Hollywood and Wil Bixler. Outside of the RTR' realm and on the lineup are party makers Methods of Movement and Polyrhythmic DJ's. Get up to get down!

PICA is always pushing the boundaries and this week the gallery will play host to MAXIMUM, a live duet between a dancer and a bodybuilder. It's a pretty concept where dance Natalie Abbot and bodybuilder Rolan Kats move in sync for one hour, creating a high intensity sweat fest of beauty.
The dripping collab will be tracked to some high BPM tunes and will rapidly run through the contrasts of heavy and light, big and small in one fell swoop – five nights only, do not miss.
