Dear friends:

We are just a couple of weeks away from summer in Seattle. I can't believe I've been onboard for almost eight months now. It has been great getting to know many of you and I've had such a warm welcome. I really hope to meet many more of you soon!

Our third Jolkona Catalyst accelerator has drawn to a close and I would like to recognize the large team of individuals who were involved in making it a success. We added
30 new members to the Catalyst team. Our valued team members are the backbone of our program.

We also had a great team of ladies who served as event and graphic design interns for our program. Many of you supported our efforts as well and it was wonderful to see many of you at our showcase.

YOU are all part of a growing community of globally-minded individuals who are driven by the desire to change lives!

We were host to 8 inspiring entrepreneurs from Bangladesh who spent three weeks attending workshops, meeting with mentors and working on telling their stories which they shared with a great deal of passion at our Jolkona Catalyst Showcase.

I hope you can see how much of a proud moment it was for me (last person on the right) to be graduating this hardworking group in the picture below.
Our Catalysts were motivated to continue on their journey to tackle issues in their community that will lead to happier and stronger communities.

We are excited to watch our entrepreneurs continue to make an impact as they return to Bangladesh to work full time on their ventures. We hope you will continue to tune in as we share updates from our alumni from Bangladesh and past Indonesia programs as they continue to grow their ventures.

I will close with an exciting announcement! Applications are now live for our Jolkona Catalyst Fall 2015 accelerator. Keep reading to learn more on how you can apply or support our incoming cohort.

Thank you once again for your support and let me know if you're ever in the area - I'd love to meet you!

Sincerely,

Monica Mendoza

Introducing Jolkona's First Program Manager
I had the wonderful pleasure of welcoming a new staff member to the Jolkona team. Katie Rendon joined in April as our very first Program Manager. She has a great deal of program management experience and has also worked abroad. Katie quickly rolled up her sleeves and was instrumental in a successful Spring cohort. She has proven to be a tenacious addition to our team and we make a great team!  Please read more about her here.
