MVAC Summer Programs
Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center is offering a variety of programs for youth and adults this summer.

Youth – Egypt (grades 4-6), Introduction to Archaeology (grades 5-9), Middle School Field Experience (grades 5-9).
Adult and High School – Field Schools for three or five days.
All Ages – Open House at MVAC's Archaeology Field School

Donations Needed for Summer Youth Scholarships
Every year we receive numerous requests for financial support from youth interested in participating in MVAC’s summer archaeology programs. This year we have limited funds available for scholarships. If you would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, please click on the link below and enter “STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS” in the Comment section. Thanks for your support!

Great weather greeted the MVAC 2015 public field survey earlier this month at the Norskedalen Heritage Center, and surrounding fields overlooking Coon Creek.

Additional congratulations for the article you co-authored in the Journal of Archaeological Science entitled “Identifying American native and European smelted coppers with pXRF: a case study of artifacts from the Upper Great Lakes region.”
