CityNet condolences for Nepal earthquake victims
The earthquake in Nepal continues to affect thousands of people who have lost their loved ones, places to live, and livelihood. CityNet invites you to support the relief effort for the victims of the devastating earthquake. Donations of any amount would be highly appreciated. The fund will then be transferred to CityNet Nepal National Chapter Office who will assist in distributing to the districts in need of assistance. |

Safer Cities Knowledge Exchange Seminar for Asian Cities
From June 24 – 26, the first Safer Cities Knowledge Exchange Seminar for Asian Cities will be hosted by CityNet, UN Habitat and the Seoul Metropolitan Government in Seoul, Korea. The seminar will provide an opportunity for city officials to share best practices in crime prevention and urban safety and to develop a platform for cooperation across the Asia Pacific region. On his remarks Mr Jagannathan elaborated on CityNet member support to adopt Smart, Resilient Strategies and he emphasised that investing in making cities safer is a global priority. |

CityNet participates in the Asia Development Dialogue
CityNet Director of Programs Youngmin Chang attended a two-day stakeholders’ dialogue on Enhancing Governance of the Urban Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector in Asia, held in Bangkok from May 7-8. The aim of the dialogue is to explore different perspectives on how to design and implement programmatic interventions to develop and strengthen good governance in the WASH sector in urban settings to achieve greater impact in reducing poverty and inequalities. |

CBARAD-II target groups engage in preliminary discussions
On April 10, 2015, eight official delegates have been identified by the City Government of Iloilo to participate in the study visit to Japan scheduled on June 7-14, 2015. The component groups designated for CBARAD-II have been planning the activity framework for the two year project. |

Second PDM Workshop conducted for CBARAD-II
The first Project Design Matrix (PDM) workshop was held in February this year. On May 21-22, the second PDM workshop was conducted in Iloilo with the stakeholders for all three components. The objective was to finalise the draft to identify specific activities and discuss the operational plans. |
