CANsail Instructor Certification Clinic – Congrats to our youth instructors!
The GRYC hosted a Voile Québec CANsail instructor clinic over the last two weekends. 11 candidates from the Ottawa-Gatineau region participated, including 5 from the GRYC. They practiced their sailing and coaching skills during the course guided by Voile Québec Learning Facilitators. Congratulations to Tyler Gray, Gabriel Sanchez, Jennifer Gagnon, Rosalie and Laurence Pagé, who were all successful in achieving their instructor certifications and will be joining our Junior Program instructor team this summer.

iVolunteer for Mobile Devices
Thanks to everyone for the great response to iVolunteer; over 450 volunteer slots have been filled (including 156 at Bridge Down)! There are about 150 empty slots still available and more will be added as other tasks arise throughout the summer.
We would like to clarify that iVolunteer can be used on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), but the interface is different than the desktop version. On a mobile device, scroll down to see the list of available dates or tasks. On a larger tablet, the jobs will be on the right hand side. Note that the mobile version only shows the available volunteer slots. Click on an event/task and click on the arrows to navigate to an individual job. Enter your email address, first and last name and other requested information. To use the desktop version (which works quite well on an larger tablet), click on the monitor-style icon at the bottom of the screen.
