Howdy FDFs,

Can you believe it that we’re already jumping into June? The free outdoor dance concerts are already poised to start pumping and I’ve got a few of them already listed here. But if you know of more, please send them along and I’ll add to the next list.

Would love to do a nice essay on how much we’re all going to miss the great BB King, but the man’s music will speak for him in perpetuity. Besides, nothing I can say would sum it up better than what Keb Mo posted on his Facebook page. (see DWDr final quote at the bottom of this list).

But life, and dances, will go on. So let’s celebrate the summer. If you’re in a mood to do so, here are a few places for you to go do that voodoo that you do so well from Friday, May 29, through Saturday, July 4, 2015 and beyond. And as always… Keep dreaming, keep dancing, and remember to check the website of venues for last-minute changes before driving down to Patagonia for a dance that’s not happening as previously scheduled when this list was compiled.

While we may not have found success with the Dance Downtown folks this year, let’s keep working to build a base so that we can come back stronger next year. I have left our petition running in the hopes that next time we come back with more a thousand signatures. We’re nearly a third of the way there. Remember, it’s only a problem if we have no solution.
