By-Law Special General Meeting

Sunday June 14th - please join us by webinar!

The Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act provides federal not-for-profit corporations with a new set of rules that are modern, flexible and better suited to the needs of today's not-for-profit sector. Corporations Canada provides a by-law builder tool where corporations can choose which options are best suited to their organization.

At our second AGM held 11-Sep-2014 the membership voted to submit revised by-laws to Corporations Canada within one year of that date. The time has now come to create our new by-laws and we need your input.

It is critical to note that CPSAC must submit member-approved by-laws to Corporations Canada before September to continue as a corporation.

A Special General Meeting regarding by-laws only will take place on Sunday, June 14th, 2015 at 4:30 Pacific, 5:30 Mountain, 6:30 Central, 7:30pm Eastern, 8:30 Atlantic, 9:00 Nfld, via webinar.

In this email is all of the information that you will need to participate in the upcoming by-law meeting.

Please ensure that you read the following email and all linked documents carefully so that you have all the required information on how to proceed.

If you can not read the linked information, all information is also available at CPSAC’s Members’ Area at www.cpsac.org/wp/. We strongly encourage you to visit the Members’ Area as that is where all discussion will take place regarding by-laws. If you haven't created an account in the Members' Area you will need to first register; new accounts will be approved by an Admin within 24 hours.
