Cuomo Avoids Albany, But Presses End Of Session Agenda

SPOTLIGHT

Day One Series From NPR's Washington Desk
NPR's Washington Desk looks at some of the seemingly intractable problems that await the 45th president, starting with stagnant wages, Islamic extremism, cyber security, and the federal debt. Rather than measure up where the parties and candidates stand on these issues, NPR takes stock of the issues at hand and the potential policy levers available to the next President of the United States. Launching the week of May 25 across NPR's newsmagazines, this is the first series in a campaign-long commitment to covering top issues and where candidates stand. The coverage will also include fact-checking candidate policy papers and pronouncements, and pushing for answers that matter to the voters.
