The Office of Recapitalization in HUD’s Office of Multifamily Housing Programs has posted the recording, slides, transcript, and supporting materials for the recent webinar, “How to Preserve and Recapitalize a Section 236 Property,” on the HUD Exchange. The webinar explains how to preserve the affordability and physical condition of Section 236 properties, including those with HUD-insured and HFA-issued mortgages. The materials are intended for Section 236 property owners, board members, consultants, and other stakeholders involved in the oversight of properties with Section 236 mortgages.

The Multifamily Housing Preservation resource pages on the HUD Exchange currently provide program guidance, tools, and other resources for the Section 236 and Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) programs. HUD will publish additional program pages and related content in the coming months.
