We Value Our Fallen Veterans

 

At disABILITY LINK we honor and respect veterans and wish you a safe Memorial Day Weekend, we will have lots of exciting and engaging programming for you after. We will be closed on Monday in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

It's hard to believe, but we are almost finished with another month and almost halfway through the year! At disABILTY LINK we are still working hard to give our consumers and supporters a programs that keep you engaged, informed and educated. See below for some of our upcoming events!

LEAPS (Locating Employment Avenues with Peer Support)
Every Tuesday from 10:00am-11:30
Join Fran and other consumers as we explore employment options, build skills and cover important information for the job search and beyond. 

Toastmaster's at disABILITY LINK
Every Tuesday from Noon-12:45pm
We have a new Toastmaster's chapter and disABILITY LINK and want you to be a part. Come learn more about public speaking, presenting with confidence and learning from your peers. This is new and exciting and we want you see you be a part!

Tech Tuesday- Apple vs. Android
Tuesday, May 26th from 1-2:30
Come learn the differences between Apple's And Android systems. We'll have an Android Tablet and an iPad available for demo. 

Bocce Ball
Wednesdays from 1:30-3:00
Blaze sports works with us to bring you an fun recreational activity every week! If you have never played this came before, we welcome you to come learn and play. This is a fun and free way to being active and learning something new. 

Roll to Freedom Transportation Meeting
Fourth Thursday of each Month, 1:00-2:30pm
The American Wheelchair Society will be hosting a transportation forum each month in our office on the fourth Thursday of each month. Come join the conversation and turn words into action. 

 



Finally, we would like to extend our thoughts and sincerest condolences to the family of Frank Barham. Frank was an amazing musician and advocate who was fatally injured while on his way to Savannah. Recently, Frank and his band performed at our ADA 25 Celebration. He will be missed.
