Troop Trips

Don't forget, if your troop is planning an overnight trip this summer or fall, you need to get permission from the council first by turning in a Troop Trip application. You must turn in your final roster at least 10 days prior to leaving on your trip. Be sure you check Safety Activity Check Points. Also, remember every adult going on the trip must be registered and must have completed a Criminal Background Check. Currently it takes 5 to 10 days for a Criminal Background check to process, so don't wait until the last minute to have your adults go online and submit their Background Checks.

Safety First

Remember when planning any activity, check Safety Activity Checkpoint first to be sure you are being safe with your girls. Planning a troop activity that includes paddle boats, kayaking or horseback riding? Remember all High Risk activities, even if there is no overnight stay involved, must be pre-approved by the council. So check your Safety Activity Checkpoints and then if your event requires council approval - submit a Troop High Risk application. If you have any questions, contact the council 800-582-7272.
