INPUT NEEDED ON BUSD PARENT SURVEY
Our new state funding plan is tied to parent input and we hope to have a large enough number to get quality feedback. Since we have a small number of parents it is difficult for us to get the same level of feedback so please take a few minutes to fill out this survey so we have as much parent voice as possible as we think about next year.

Thanks to the Bonsall Elementary Kindergarten Class for providing our students the opportunity to read to them. Many of our BHS students dressed up and 9th graders enjoyed reading their fairy tales to the younger students. Many BES teachers commented on how kind and helpful our students were to the kinders.

BEF Summer Options for High School Students
Thanks to BEF, BHS is offering both a music week, and a video game design class this summer. Please watch for announcements via peachjar and we will put up information on the BHS website within the next week.
Online Classes
Students wishing to take online classes should come to the BHS office to discuss the possible options. There is a form for BHS students to be able to get credit for high school and we will need to make sure the online course is eligible for high school credit.

Draft Student Schedules should be signed and returned to BHS office by Friday, May 29.
If your student has not received it yet, please have them come by the BHS office as soon as possible so we can finalize our master schedule. Thank you for your patience, this year we had to complete all schedules by hand, but next year we will be in an online electronic system.
Please note that while we will plan to provide students the electives they selected for next year, classes may not be in the same order as printed on their draft schedules.

End of the Year Thank You
Many times by the time children reach high school parents start to step back from participating. Is it easy to understand that as children exert independents, parents wish to give them space. However, parent involvement during adolescence is crucial and takes an extra effort! I have been so impressed with how many of you continue to support the students and the high school activities. In particular, we wish to thank the parents who have volunteered endless hours to the school development this year in providing transportation for field trips and other school-related events.
On a personal note, I would like to thank the Ping parents for their amazing support of the school and of me as the new principal here at BHS. You have been so helpful, welcoming, and really make my job a lot easier with your support. Thank you to all you do to help our students experience success!
