The month of May saw a well balanced mix of informative and interesting events aimed at advancing Australian business in China for our members.
The 2015 Salary Guide panel discussion held on the 7th provided insightful comparisons and facts regarding current employment and HR trends in China.
The Langtons Wine Tasting on the 11th was a sold-out event, with Master of Wine, Andrew Caillard sharing with guests his extensive and expert knowledge of wines and their origins. The SME Curry Mixer Event was held the following night, where members of the Australian and British communities came together to discuss entrepreneurial ideas, share information and common issues.
This week saw the kick off to the annual State of Origin, with the rivalry between Queensland and New South Wales supporters heating up in this best of three games series. Stay tuned for more info on upcoming games.
The 22nd annual AustCham Westpac Australia-China Business Awards Gala Dinner was held last night in Hong Kong. Congratulations to all the winners!
Finally, AustCham Beijing Foundation Member KPMG has released the long awaited 'Demystifying Chinese Investment in Australia' report, jointly compiled with The University of Sydney Business School.
