Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation: French-American Jazz Exchange
FAJE supports projects jointly conceived by French and American professional jazz artists that encourage artistic exploration, foster intercultural dialogue, and contribute to the dynamism of the art form. FAJE annually awards individual grants up $25,000, through an open, competitive application process to support projects that take place either in France or the United States and their respective territories or both, within a 16-month period.

In this session, we'll talk about how and why to run a crowdfunding campaign. We'll go over why you need an awesome video and what you can do to make one. The workshop will focus on how to design your campaign, build a movement, and launch it so that people pay attention and give to it.

Fiscal Sponsorship + Crowdfunding = $$ for Creative Projects

This session is designed for anyone who is interested in using fiscal sponsorship. We’ll explore the benefits and use of Fractured Atlas’s fiscal sponsorship program as a fundraising tool. There will be an overview of fiscal sponsorship, how to apply, how to use the tools within the program, and an introduction to fundraising. We’ll explore the benefits and tools of crowdfunding sites, such as IndieGoGo, Kickstarter, and RocketHub. Find out how to use crowdfunding as an effective fundraising tool. We will also explore how these resources can be used in conjunction with fiscal sponsorship.

This CFP solicits new scholarship concerning the planning, architecture, and environmental design of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) founded and developed from 1867 through the 1940’s. Papers on a broad range of topics are welcome. Topics may include studies of individual buildings, of entire campus plans, or of the designers, builders, and patrons who created them.

Mid-Atlantic New Painting:The University of Mary Washington Galleries
The University of Mary Washington Galleries are proud to host the tenth edition of our juried painting competition. It is open to artists 18 years of age and older living in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Entries will be judged by a guest juror. Cash prizes and a purchase award are also available. The exhibition will be on view January 15- February 28, 2016.

Charles County ArtsFest
The Charles County Arts Alliance’s 23rd annual ArtsFest, is June 13, 2015, from 11 am to 5 pm, at La Plata Town Hall. ArtsFest is the largest arts festival in Charles County, and one of the largest in Southern Maryland and is seeking visual and literary artists of all media and nonprofit arts organizations to encourage participation in arts activities. Inlight Richmond 2015 - Call For Proposals
1708 Gallery invites artists working in all media and disciplines (including performance) to submit proposals for InLight Richmond 2015, 1708 Gallery's 8th annual one-night, public exhibition of light-based art and performance. Proposals for InLight Richmond 2015 should involve, be inspired by, investigate, or interpret themes of light, from light as medium to light as concept. (Existing work, as well as proposals for new projects, will be considered.) 1708 Gallery also encourages artists to propose projects that respond directly to the site.
