So much has happened since our last newsletter so I thought a quick catch up was in order. Firstly... the 2015 Photography Show was amazing. Thank you to SmugMug & Fotospeed for having me ! Already looking forward to next year. Oh.... BTW - This is a link heavy Newsletter !!

WORKSHOPS - We have our line up of 2015 workshops up and running. Our first event of the year went very well in North Wales. The Understanding Newton Workshop was a great success. Thank you to all that attended. Y ou can read the blog here

FASHION & FASHION NOIR GALLERY - On the main website we have had a rethink and relook at the images and directions for Ideas & Images. The site is a little more unsafe for work, but we think is a little more in context and intune. Check out the new look site here

NEW MAGAZINE EDITORIALS - We have been super busy creating images for a wide range of commercial and private commissions. Some are yet to come out (such as the sportswear brand ILU), but we can share our summer beauty shoot for Style Birmingham Magazine - C heck it out here

Oh.... and we have been hard at work photographing many different people from all walks of life for the on going 'Book of Influence' Project. You can check out the images shot so far here

PORTRAITS ON A BUDGET

These days I have been shooting with very small lighting set ups. Either one main light though a 170cm Softbox or a Single speed light. A few months ago or maybe longer, Digital Photographer magazineâ€‹ got in touch and we did a short interview about what the kit and stuff. This blog is an updated version of that interview.

So, there is a new lens out from Fuji and as I have not had my hands on it yet (90mm f2.0 Review by Kevin Mullins here), I thought I would share out the review of the 16-55mm insteadâ€¦. it is quite simply one of the THE lenses you should have a look at if you are buying into the Fuji System..

ANOTHER AFTERNOON WITH JODI LAKIN (BEAUTY PORTRAITS)

There I was last Friday thinking to myself, gosh â€“ I donâ€™t have anything to shoot over the weekend ! A few moment later and Jodi and I had a shoot onâ€¦. As per normal we had nothing planned and by 10:23am Jodi was on my door step with a make up box and a beaming smile.

It was over a year ago that Joanna and I got in touch, it was over Facebook or some other social networking site. It was then almost a year later that we both found a moment to shoot. I was in London and just happened to have a cancelled date, so Joanna got in contact with the amazing Dorota WÃ³jcik SuÅ‚kowska who was super kind to drop things at last moment and come and do the hair and make up for us.
