“Freedom Flotilla III” on its Way to Break the Siege of Gaza


There have been several attempts to break the Siege on Gaza between 2008 and 2010. This attempt will mark five years since Israel's deadly raid on the Mavi Marmara in 2010. The raid resulted in the death of activists from the Free Gaza Movement and the Turkish Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (İHH).

Monitoring Mexico's Midterm Elections with #BreakTheFear
 

During Sunday's elections in Mexico, free-speech organization ARTICLE 19 ran a campaign called #RompeElMiedo (#BreakTheFear) to monitor the safety of journalists and human rights activists. The effort focused on Mexico City, Guerrero, Michoacan, the State of Mexico, Oaxaca, Puebla, and Guanajuato - key areas where election reporting has been risky in the past.
