Hello,

We are writing to inform you that from 1 July 2015, the administration fee for royalties collected by the Copyright Agency under the Resale Royalty Scheme will be 15%.

This fee is used to support the administration of the Resale Royalty scheme on behalf of right holders and their beneficiaries.  A 15% fee for service reflects costs of managing the scheme and is consistent with other resale schemes internationally.
We are required to collect GST on the service fee.

The Resale Royalty Scheme began five years ago on 9 June 2010 and has generated $3.4 million in royalties for 1050 visual artists.

The spectrum of artists receiving royalties is diverse and includes artists at all stages of their careers, from emerging to senior, remote to urban, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous.

The scheme is currently being reviewed by the Australian Government.
