Winter has arrived and so have some interesting new projects including blanket collection for our June outreach, as well as the launch of interesting new projects- Seeds for Life and Children's Outreach. 
Children's Outreach



Children's Outreach has taken up a new form and has been focused on helping children with basic educational and developmental needs whilst the monthly free grocery outreaches take place.
The children play constructive games, have general knowledge/maths quizzes and get praised for their progress. The children are loving the games and were more than happy to receive their homework assignments for our next meeting!
Seeds for Life
Seeds for Life is a project that has grown out of last month's Needs Survey.  Seeds for Life will teach and equip multiple households to grow their own crops in their very own backyards. The households can use these crops to feed their families and even sell the excess for an income. We hope that this project will be a very real answer to food insecurity and unemployment in Cosmo City!
Outreach
Our next monthly grocery outreach and children's outreach will take place on Saturday 20 June 2015 09:30 starting in Roodepoort and ending in Cosmo City around 13:30. 
The Old Age Home visits will take place on 5, 12, 19 and 26 June 10:00-11:30 at Luipaardsvlei Tehuis vir Bejaardes.
