Recommended for children aged 6-12
An engaging, interactive dance-theater performance for children inspired by musical motifs from French composer Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Animal Carnival.” Barbora Látalová and her company invite the children in the audience to collaborate with them on the creation of an original multimedia performance. Combining movement, dance, unique video projections, and original music, the children play with concepts of light and shadow, silence, immobility, imagination and creativity. The ensemble members take the children on a magical journey of discovery upwards to the clouds and down underground to a magical animal kingdom where they are free to imagine and perform – using movement, music, and sound to discover and create strange new creatures. Recipient of the Audience Prize and the Lighting Design Prize at the Czech Dance Festival 2014.
