What we've been doing to inspire the youth....

Alternative action sports by Chris
-Rollerblade wheels- Thanks to Nick Keeping from Thailand for the wheels he sponsored for the I2B clubs and shipped it to us. What a blessing you are! Can't wait for you and your wife to move back to South Africa. See you soon!

-YTA- My wife and I took some of the I2B guys to the Youth Transformation Africa (YTA) event at Newlands stadium and a skate session after...obviously.


-Skateboarding for Hope- Thanks to KDC (Kimberley Diamond Cup) and Vans for making a Skateboarding for Hope stop at the I2B Park. KDC sponsored new skateboards to kick-start a brand new I2B club with the Bright Lights Home. Thanks Markus Museler for your support, you are such a legend. Thanks to Grant Mclachlan for the awesome photos.



-Surf4Life event- The non-profit organisation Surf4Life invited the I2B skim clubs to join their awareness day at Strand beach. Thanks Penny from Surf4Life. It was a fun day!

The event also appeared in the local newspaper.

We decided to build a skim rail for the skimboarding demo and clinic seeing that there isn't a shore-break at the main beach. Thanks Josh for doing most of the work!



Athletics for people with disabilities by Fanie
-SA Champs 2015- We had a great time at UJ at the nationals this year. We stayed with the WP team which created opportunities to build relationships with the junior athletes.

We also had a Chaplaincy Team at the UJ clubhouse. They focused on giving spiritual support and serving the athletes and staff.

-Sao Paulo IPC Grand Prix- We had a great time in Brazil, with some awesome performances.

Congratulations to Ilze Hayes Carstens with her World Record which makes her the fastest female Paralympian.

-Article in the JUIG magazine-  I am thankful for the opportunity to share my story in the JUIG magazine.

CSA - Christian Skaters Africa by Chris
-CS Breakfast and LRB- A while a ago I met up with a guy who decided to start rollerblading again but he was also amped about Jesus. Marc Bunting is his name. He is a real motivation and inspiration to live life for Christ, full-out. He has been part of the CS Breakfast and Link.Roll.Braai (LRB) events we have every month now.

-LRB- We did a Link.Roll.Braai at the I2B park last month.

-CSalt mission week- It was really awesome to have the CS interns (CSalt programme) joining I2B and CS Somerset West for a week. The guys helped to put the new layer of hardboard sheets on the bowl. Thanks guys!!

The girls helped to paint the ramps. Thanks girls!!
Devon shared his testimony during the CS session at the I2B skatepark. We also did a two day skim camp after this event.
