Passengers on all Etihad Airways flights to the US can now enjoy the US Immigration pre-clearance service available in Abu Dhabi.The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility at Terminal 3 in Abu Dhabi Airport is a purpose-built facility that allows U.S. bound passengers to undertake all immigration, customs and agriculture inspections in Abu Dhabi prior to departure.
Abu Dhabi Airport is one of only a handful of airports outside North America that offer the CBP facility. Having cleared CBP, guests can check-through their baggage to their final destination in the United States. On reaching the U.S., guests will be treated as domestic arrivals, which allows for faster processing at their arrival airport.

The A380 is the only wide body aircraft of Etihad Airways’ fleet which can accommodate nine guests in the First Apartments in a single aisle cabin, 70 guests in the Business Studio with direct aisle access and a seat which converts into a comfortable fully-flat bed of up to 80.5-inches. The 417 guests who will choose to travel in Economy class they will experience the new Economy Smart Seat which is the ultimate in clever design, with a unique "fixed wing" headrest that will make the journey even more comfortable.
