• A memorial service for Harold Kulm will be held at MPC this Saturday, June 6, at 4 p.m. Reception to follow.

• Sam Cole’s Retirement Party this Sunday Christian Enrichment Director Sam Cole is retiring after 10 years of ministry! Come for ice cream sundaes and a celebration of Sam’s ministry at MPC. Wear a Hawaiian shirt to church (or pick up a lei in the Narthex) in Sam’s honor. 

• Choir Concert Friday The Mt. Hood Community College Choirs will present a collection of songs by composers from around the world on June 5 at 7:30 p.m. The concert in the MHCC Visual Arts Gallery is free, family friendly, and open to the public. 

• Help us end the year in the black! MPC's fiscal year ends June 30. If you haven't already, now is a great time to bring your pledge up to date. Contact Colby at the office (503.654.7782 or office@milwaukiepres.org) to check on your pledge balance. Thank you for supporting MPC and our ministries! 

• Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail construction June 12-14 Give yourself some extra travel time– McLoughlin Blvd will be closed between River Rd and Washington St. next weekend with traffic diverted to Oatfield Rd. The MAX Orange Line is scheduled to open Sept. 12.

• Many Voices Needed The new summer sign up for worship assistants is on the bulletin board in the Narthex. 

• New Wednesday Night Small Group begins July 1st! Are you a fan of the slow food movement? If so, then Slow Church: Cultivating Community in the Patient Way of Jesus may be the book for you. Join Pastor Katie Pate and Youth Ministry Director Doug Vitro in the dining room at Bob’s Red Mill at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings this summer to discuss the idea of Slow Church. Email the office or sign up in the Narthex to join. Books provided to the first 10 people who sign up.

• Mark your calendars! The Annual Meeting of the Congregation will take place after Caravan worship on June 28. The following business items are on the agenda: 
  + Electing church officers                  
  + Approving the pastor’s terms of call
  + Electing officers of the corporation  
  + Accepting the Annual Report
  + Accepting the Vision Committee Report
  Stay after the Annual Meeting for a delicious lunch prepared by the youth group - $10 for an individual, $15 per group of two or more. Funds raised will go toward Youth missions.

• Stewardship Update Have you had a chance to make your pledge to support the 2015-16 budget? Your pledge commitment helps the Session create the budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1. Every pledge helps!
