Fratello's
Greetings!

It looks like another beauty out there today. One could get used to this, non? Like good food & wine, which is also nice to get used to. Speaking of, this is what we have been endeavoring to do here at Fratello's for the past 22+ years. Take this weekend, for instance, when we will be featuring Yellow Edge Grouper, Copper River Sockeye Salmon, and Certified Angus Beef Texas Strip Steak. The new menu which we rolled out last week has been well received, and while not drastically different (let's be honest, there are many things on the menu which we cannot change - we do not want a riot on our hands!) there are several new items that we think you will enjoy. Give them a try.

As for the wine part of the good things in life, the collaboration between Dave Phinney and Joel Gott, Shatter, which we started last week continues on our wine board. A French wine that tastes like it was made in California, this Grenache works very well with our menu. The same goes for the other features, the Cab from Joel Gott, the Sangiovese blend from Ferrari-Carona, Siena, the Nebbiolo from Rivetti and the Locations AR from Orin Swift (i.e. Dave Phinney). In the near future I plan to introduce you to a red blend from Washington which offers fruit, body and balance, as well as a new Malbec from Argentina. I also am expecting a delivery of a Rose wine from the south of France, a blend of Grenache and Cinsault, that represents the wines from this region very well. I have struggled with Rose wines over the years, perhaps it has something to do with the pink color, but these wines are among my most favorite wines in warm weather. This is a DRY wine, decent fruit and body, and is very tasty. Not a huge wine, but sometimes one does not need a big, blockbuster, just a decent wine to enjoy. Open your mind, give Rose a try and I bet you'll find that "pink" wines are not bad.

Thanks as always for your continued support, we wouldn't be here without ya' (and we know it!). We hope you are well, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Ciao

P.S. GO CAVS!!
