Monitor team news

This year, there are some exciting changes within the Monitor editorial and leadership team. With Megan Burke leaving the Casualties and Victim Assistance Team to become ICBL-CMC director, team leader Loren Persi has brought on board a number of accomplished new editors, including Erin Hunt, Michael Moore, and Marie-Josée Hamel, while Clémence Caraux-Pelletan and Marianne Schulze have remained with the team. Marion Loddo is taking the lead in support for mine action findings, continuing work she did last year as a researcher, and Jennifer Reeves is serving as mine action consultant. The Ban Policy Team continues to be led by experts Stephen Goose, Katherine Harrison, Mark Hiznay, Yeshua Moser-Puangsuwan, and Mary Wareham.

In the Monitoring and Research Committee (MRC), Richard MacCormac of DanChurchAid has joined, bringing mine action expertise as Atle Karlsen and Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) have decided to take on other priorities. Amelie Chayer has joined bringing expertise from the ICBL-CMC core staff, replacing Tamar Gabelnik. Megan Burke has replaced Sylvie Brigot-Vilain as an ex officio member.

Jeff Abramson continues to serve as Program Manager, with production consultation from Morgan McKenna, and the assistance of new intern Taylor Braun-Dorrell.
