Texquest received additional funding this legislative sessions, and you get to help decide how to spend it. The State Library has announced additional funding for TexQuest in the amount of $1,250,000. Fill out this TexQuest Content Priorities Survey from the state library and forward it to your TexQuest users. Continue to read more information about this funding.

Britannica is now one of your TexQuest Resources! If your district has committed to TexQuest Year 2 by paying your invoice, you now have access to even more incredible resources for your students and educators. Start adding links and icons, viewing and sending staff members short training tutorials, and integrating these resources into your lessons and professional development with the new Britannica Support page. View recorded one hour webinars on Britannica’s elementary or secondary resources anytime from the Training tab on TexQuest.net.

Gale has added Google functionality to In Context resources. Your users can now download articles from any of the Gale In Context resources (including any highlighting and notes) straight into their Google Drive or Google Docs accounts. More Google opportunities are coming soon from Gale. Continue here to read more about this new feature, and to see which Gale resources are immediately affected.

We don't want your district to miss out on TexQuest communications. But we know that sometimes things change - especially over the summer. The TexQuest Support Center at ESC-20 maintains district contact information for: Primary TexQuest Contact, Primary Library Contact, Primary Curriculum Contact, Primary Technology Contact, Accounts Payable. Contact the TexQuest Support Center to change this contact information.

Take a half hour this summer to learn about Adam Matthew Digital. If you missed their last webinar, you can access the recorded version. And don’t forget about the great new 3:00 minute video resource to introduce Texas students to primary sources. Continue here for links to Adam Matthew training resources.
Your participation makes TexQuest stronger. And so does the participation of all eligible districts in Texas. Take a minute to check out the TexQuest map maintained by the state library. Blue dots have committed for Year 1, green dots have paid for Year 2, but the  gray boxes indicate districts who may not know about the resources available for just $.22 a student. If you know someone in these smaller districts or charter schools, let them know about TexQuest. Continue here to view the TexQuest map.

The TexQuest Road Trip starts soon. TexQuest training is free on the following dates at the Service Centers below. For information on all TexQuest training, ESC training contacts, and the link to offer area training at your own district, continue to the TexQuest Training Tab.
