Real Bride Spotlight: Our bride Sierra wed her husband John on March 7, 2015 wearing an exquisite Berta bridal gown. Sierra looked beautiful and we loved being able to help her find her dress. 

The pair met at Lewnes Steakhouse in Annapolis in 2002. It was a Thursday night, and they were having cocktails in the bar. That night they were randomly introduced by John's business partner but did not start dating until a few years later. 

When it came time to pop "the question" John managed to do it when Sierra least expected it. Last August the couple was getting ready to leave for the airport, John was going on a fishing trip and Sierra was dropping him off on her way to work. He is a dentist at Edgewater Dental Arts in Edgewater, MD and she is a hospital pharmaceutical representative for Daiichi Sankyo in Baltimore.

As Sierra grew more anxious to hit the road, he grew more anxious to propose! John called Sierra inside the house from the car, he said he had to show her "one last thing" and before she knew it, he knelt down on one knee. Needless to say, the bride and groom to-be quickly called the family to share the news on the ride to the airport, before John lost cell service in the wilderness!

Sierra and John's ceremony was held at the Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis and they celebrated their reception with formal a cocktail party held at the Annapolis Yacht Club. According to Sierra, her favorite part of the wedding day (other than her Berta gown) was the moment after she and John were pronounced husband and wife. They paused to take in all of their family and friends at the ceremony and then took their first steps as husband and wife. 

When asked whether or not they plan to stay in the area the newlyweds said, "Absolutely! We met in Annapolis and plan to raise our family in Annapolis. We are grateful to live in such a beautiful area that maintains small town charm outside of the big cities."
