End of Year Gift - Don't Give It All to the Tax Man!

The end of financial year is almost here, so now is the perfect time to give a tax-deductible gift!

Funds raised will support vital services for people living with CF like Oliver (pictured), and fund crucial research to achieve our vision of "Lives Unaffected by CF".

New Drug Could Benefit Everyone With CF


Vertex, the pharmaceutical company that developed Kalydeco, has announced the development of a new drug that seeks to treat all people with CF.

Parion Sciences will receive $80 million in funding from Vertex in a collaboration to develop the drug.

Thanks to the hard work of Jan Howie (CFWA Nurse Educator) there are now numerous fact sheets available on the website, with many more to follow.

This project has been a collaboration between CFWA and the other CF State associations.

Marmion Primary School: Go RED Winners!

We'd like to give a huge thank you and congratulations to our Go RED/ Crazy Hair day top fundraisers, Marmion primary School! They raised an incredible $3,935, what an awesome achievement!

The school will receive $500 worth of sporting goods for their effort. 

Thank you to all of the schools that participated this year, together you've raised over $8,000!

Ladies Support Dinner


The Ladies Support dinner was held on the 5th of June and was a great success, with 53 ladies from the CF community coming along for a night of ‘Hollywood Glamour’.
 
The event provides an evening of respite, while allowing female carers the opportunity to develop networks within the community and have a night of fun.
 
A big thank you to Amy Lauren for sharing her personal story, and inspiring us all to ‘Carpe Diem’!
 
Thanks also to Sue Lindquist and Jan Langley for donating handmade craft items as gifts for the carers.

Coffee Morning Midland

Free CLAN WA Community Courses

CFWA members are invited to attend several free workshops facilitated by CLAN WA.

These parenting Workshops cover topics such as building resilience, growth & development from toddlerhood to adolescence, communicating more effectively with children, & dealing with challenging behaviours.

Dust Off Your Sneakers For Swan River Run

Sunday July 26th
There are only a few Gold Charity places remaining for the Swan River Run, set on the banks of the beautiful Swan River, but you will need to be quick!
 
As a Gold runner you will have a starting place ahead of the pack in the starting wave and you receive personalised Gold bib displaying your name, as well as a bag full of goodies from CFWA.

To enter as a general runner as a Gold entrant visit the website here and follow the prompts.
