Jump on the art bus this Saturday to visit us, Tjanpi Desert Weavers, Yarrenyty Arltere Artists, and Tangentyere Artists (present at Yarrenyty Arltere Artists).

Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre will be holding an open day on Saturday June 20th, welcoming visitors of the Beanie Festival to our studio and gallery at 29 Wilkinson st. Alice Springs. Our talented watercolour artists will be demonstrating their painting techniques in an open studio scenario. Their exquisite landscape paintings will be on display at the gallery and discounted artworks, new T-shirts, and silk handkerchiefs will be for sale at the studio.  

If this is not enough...

This Saturday, get a sneak peek at a new documentary about Albert Namatjira, his artist mentor Rex Battarbee and the legacy of their friendship.


The new documentary will help secure sustainability for the Namatjira family and Hermannsburg School of Artists for years to come.

The Namatjira family welcomed social change organisation, Big hART into their community over six years ago. Together they developed a theatre show about Albert Namatjira which has toured the country and been seen by over 50,000 people.

This documentary is the lynchpin in making sure positive exposure gets out to many, many more hundreds of thousands of people, to tell an important story, and garner support for the family, their community and ongoing living heritage.

Big hART and the Namatjira family need help to finish this important documentary and are calling on supporters of the Namatjira Art Movement to help complete the documentary by donating to their crowd funding campaign to be launched on June 29th.

Silk handkerchiefs

Our new silk handkerchiefs have arrived and are now available online!

Gwenda Namatjira, Lenie Namatjira, Gloria Pannka, Mervyn Rubuntja, Hubert Pareroultja and Therese Ryder have all produced a design for a silk handkerchief at the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education. From the watercolour images the handkerchief designs were digitally printed in North Carolina USA using Eco-friendly printing, and water-based inks. The handkerchief are made of silk Crepe de Chine: Semi-sheer 100% silk with a delicate texture and beautiful drape, made with hand rolled hem, 30cm square. 


The six designed handkerchiefs are for sale at the art centre and are now also available on our website. Click HERE to view.
