Stoop and Scoop
The City would like to remind residents that it is your responsibility as a dog owner to pick up and dispose of your dog's excrement from private or public property, including parks and sidewalks.
Scooping excrement is not only common courtesy, but failing to do so can also be a health and environmental hazard. It could expose people and other pets to bacteria, viruses and parasites.
Please clean up after your dog to keep Niagara Falls healthy and attractive for everyone.

City Cemetery Expansions: Fall 2015
The City of Niagara Falls is planning a number of upgrades to Fairview and Lundy's Lane Cemeteries, scheduled for the Fall of this year. These changes are part of the Cemeteries Master Plan to accommodate cemetery expansion and further expand the range of interment options to serve the needs of our community for generations to come.
Fairview Cemetery will be adding a new 72 niche columbarium, as well as individual family columbariums. As shown in the picture above, a columbarium is an above-ground structure with niches designed to hold cremated remains.
Also coming available this Fall, will be the sale of premium, double, and triple plots in Section P - the last section of Fairview Cemetery adjacent to Stanley Avenue.
Lundy's Lane Cemetery will also be expanding with approximately 1400 premium lots coming available in the Fall.
Those interested should contact Cemetery Services at 905 354 4721 to have their names added to the growing “waiting list” for each location.

Chippawa Low Lift Combined Sewer Overflow Tank Odour Issues
The Niagara Region is taking steps to minimize the odours occurring around the construction site of a new combined sewer overflow tank at the Chippawa pumping stations in Niagara Falls.
There is no health risk associated with the levels of hydrogen sulphide at the site, but it does cause an unpleasant odour for neighbouring residents.
The Region anticipates that the odours around the site will be significantly reduced by the end of June. The construction of the combined sewer overflow tank is expected to be completed by November 2015.
For more information, contact Paul Smeltzer, Niagara Region, 905-980-6000 ext. 3640
