Australian Effie Awards finalists announced
Congratulations to the 84 finalists from 36 agencies who have made it through to round two judging for the 2015 Australian Effie Awards. Finalists now compete for effectiveness awards across 19 categories, assessed by 48 senior marketers, consultants and researchers.

Trade promotions update: Victoria removes requirement for Permits
APMA members will be delighted to know that for all trade promotion lotteries commencing in Victoria after 21 June 2015, there will no longerbe a requirement for a trade promotion lottery permit, even if the value of prize(s) exceed $5,000 in total. Please note, there will still be laws governing the conduct of trade promotion lotteries in VIC, but will be treated the same as QLD, WA, and TAS. Former Samsung CMO on what makes a great PR agency
Arno Lenior, former Samsung CMO, joined the PRC last week for a Client Advisory Q&A led by Edelman COO Matthew Gain. Advising members on what makes a great PR agency, Lenior stressed the need to build strong relationships, knowing the business better than the CMO does, the importance of awards and keeping internal stakeholders close.
